Chicken Pot Pie Mugs
Noah's Ark Baby Shower Cake
This was the 1st time I have used Rice Crispy Treats for part of my cake decorations. I didn't think I could make the Ark sturdy enough with cake so I went Ace of Cakes/Cake Boss on this one. I just baked a square cake for the base and used Rice Crispy Treats and did my best to shape and carve them like the Ark and put that on top of the base. Then I iced the Rice Crispy Ark with buttercream and used these cute plastic animals picks that Tiffany had purchased to use for the cupcakes. I am so glad she bought these for the cupcakes because I am not sure what I would have used for the animals on the Ark:)

Cheesecake
Adam's 31st birthday. Homemade Cheesecake - YUM! Not often i get to use a spring form pan but it came out of the pan beautifully. We had blueberry sauce to go with the cheesecake but that was somewhat of a disaster. I made the sauce and just propped it in the fridge (my fridge is always filled to the max) and i didn't know i had left a terrible booby trap for the next person who opened the fridge. Poor Leah was that person and it all came crashing on her. I felt terrible but Leah and Trenton were so sweet to help me scrub blueberries up from my kitchen floor. Luckily Leah had blueberries in her fridge and we made the sauce again :)
Kitchen & BBQ Wedding Shower Cake
Jennifer and Curtis's Wedding shower! Jennifer wanted strawberry cake so I used Paula Deen's strawberry cake recipe and it was so delicious!!! I couldn't think of how I was going to decorate this cake because it is really hard to decorate cake when I don't use my special recipe buttercream frosting:) So I thought about all the Christmas ornaments I use to decorate my Christmas tree in the kitchen and thought I could use these and put them on the cake. It actually turned out really cute. I had all the essentials - mixer, blender, toaster, ect.
Since Jennifer wanted strawberry cake I thought it was be cute if I made Curtis his on dessert that was not so girly. I had this lime green BBQ grill thats purpose was to hold a plastic ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper bottles. I just took those bottles out used it as a place to house his chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache. I thought it turned out really cute since the chocolate cupcakes almost looked like hamburgers on a grill:)
Tiffany Box Cake
This Tiffany Box birthday cake was for my friend Tiffany - so cute!!! I thought the idea was so precious! I used pound cake for the box because i wanted to be sure that the box was sturdy. I used buttercream frosting to ice the box and made a fondant bow. The guests had cupcakes to eat that were in the same matching Tiffany blue color. I thought i got pretty close to the color since i had a Tiffany box to use for comparison.
Firetruck Birthday Party Cake
Precious Frog Cake
This frog cake was alot of fun to do!! It is one round cake for the body and then a sheet cake that you cut into the shape of the frogs legs and then 2 cupcakes for the eyes.

Flower Baby Shower Cake
This is Alabama Football!!!
Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese frosting.
Chocolate rice crispy treats made to look like footballs - fun!
2-layer yellow cake with buttercream frosting. The cupcakes are red velvet with a buttercream "A" on top. The big A is using my Alabama A silicon cake pan. I wanted to have the A stand up on its on but really couldn't figure out how to do that so I went to the craft store and got a hat box and placed the A cake in the lid and stood it up on a plate stand.
Halloween Party Food
Kentucky Derby Cake
Chocolate Cake and Chocolate icing.
I used a Fondant pen to do the writing on the cake but when I woke up the next morning and went to look at the cake all the writing had completely run together. You couldn't even make out what it said! I made a mad dash to the craft store and got roses and rose petals and a straw hat. I decorated the straw hat with the roses and sprinkled the petals on the cake to cover the writing up. I actually thought it turned out cuter. Since the derby is all about the hats I thought that the hat was perfect and went along with the party them.
